Lara Munoz

Certified Equine Sports Massage & Rehabilitation Therapist, Specializing in Lameness & Advanced Rehabilitation, IAAT Member, Natural Horsemanship, Horse Trainer

Hi, I’m Lara — and I’m here to help your horse or dog feel their best.

At Pampashire Animal Manual Therapies, I use gentle, hands-on treatments like massage, myofascial release, mobilisations, kinesiology taping, and vibration therapy to treat musculoskeletal imbalances and support movement, comfort, and overall wellbeing.

I focus on how the body truly works—its posture, function, and natural balance—to help animals move better and feel more comfortable in their own skin.

I also work with horses using natural horsemanship. I believe in kindness, trust, and clear communication. I train the horses I work with to go bitless and eventually even bridleless—always putting their needs first.

Wellness should be for everyone. No horse should live in pain. That’s why I offer fair pricing and discounted packages, so more animals can get the help they deserve.

Alongside treatments, I run workshops and clinics to help owners understand their animals better and build stronger bonds.

I’d love to meet you and your animal soon!

My commitment to delivering quality service and outstanding results comes from years of dedication to understanding and supporting these incredible animals—and now, expanding that care to dogs and other pets. Every treatment I provide is done with love, respect, and the utmost care, because your animal’s wellbeing is my priority. I am also passionate about educating others. My Journey

My love for horses began at an early age, growing up in a house with at least five dogs, a cat, birds, and rabbits. This deep connection with animals inspired me to pursue a career in their care and wellbeing. I started university with the intention of becoming a veterinarian, but at the same time, I began working as an apprentice at a riding school, where I gained hands-on experience with horses. During this time, I also competed in show jumping, which further deepened my appreciation for the bond between horse and rider. In pursuit of further growth, I moved to the UK, where I worked as a groom for many years. This invaluable experience helped me refine my skills and gain a deeper understanding of horses and their care. It was here that I discovered my true passion for the musculoskeletal system of horses. I eventually shifted my focus and became certified as an Equine Sports Massage and Rehabilitation Therapist (ESMT). Over the years, I’ve expanded my expertise through advanced certifications, including kinesiology taping, Muscle Energy Techniques (METs), fascia edge tools, and more. I’ve since broadened my practice to include canine musculoskeletal therapy, becoming a certified equine and canine musculoskeletal therapist.

My Experience and Approach

Over the years, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience working with horses. I’ve re-trained off-the-track thoroughbreds, broken in young horses, and even ridden eventing horses that have competed at the Olympics. Working alongside renowned equestrian professionals has shaped my practice and taught me to uphold the highest standards in care and professionalism.

I’ve also had the honor of working for some truly distinguished clients, including a lady, a baroness, and a countess in Yorkshire, as well as for a prince in the South of England. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding and have further reinforced the trust that people place in my work.

What makes my work truly special is the instant connection I form with horses. Many have remarked that it’s as if I have a sixth sense, allowing me to understand what they’re feeling and what they need. This deep connection enables me to provide thoughtful, tailored care that resonates with the horses and their owners. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how much better horses feel and move after spending time with me, and their owners can see the difference too.

Have a look to our Services

Lara is incredibly intuitive to the needs of the horse she is working with. She’s very knowledgeable and quickly reads the horses specific needs so that she can help to improve performance and comfort. After watching her give a massage to a horse I ride regularly, I have a far better understanding of where he has restricted movement. Very impressive!
